We produce a highest quality Cretan Extra virgin olive oil
The systematic cultivation of olive trees in Crete is the oldest in human history and has been around for more than 3,850 years. In Crete, the cultivation of olives is the main concern in the primary sector. The olive tree has always been an important part of our heritage and our culture. The approximately 35,000,000 olive trees in Crete produce olive oil of the highest quality. The olive oil has already been recognized and awarded several times as the best in the world by international independent organizations.
Healthy living plays a huge role in the Cretan diet and is based on the use of local extra virgin olive oil. Our family has already been growing olives for four generations. The groves are located between the Dikti Mountains and the Gulf of Malia-Stalis in a fertile plain in between hills near the sea, near the village of Mochos in the northeast of the island. The groves were first cultivated by our great grandparents, improved and increased by our parents.
By using modern technology and innovative ideas as well as a lot of personal commitment and passion, we now produce here the EXCELLENT VIRGIN OLIVE OIL “Mochos Gaia”.
